Blackboy Park Playground Mullaloo

Small shady playground in a quiet suburban area with all the facilities

Blackboy Park Mullaloo Features: Playground | Nature Based Play | BBQs | Toilets | Picnic Shelter | Seating | Public Tennis Courts | Off the Lead Dog Park | Street Parking

Blackboy Park Mullaloo is a small, suburban playground in a big shady parkland that includes toilet and bbq facilities and free public tennis courts. Please note: the City of Joondalup has identified that the name of this park is politically incorrect and it has been flagged to be renamed.

The park features a new playground that was upgraded in 2019. It has a small but feature packed play structure with two slides, monkey bars, rope net and swings under good natural shade.

The back section is lower level and designed for younger children and the front section is a little higher with the monkey bars and rope nets in between.

This may be a pretty small playground but it has a few unique features. One is this large sized snakes and ladders board complete with dice roll board. Grab a rock or a stick from around the park or use yourself as your game piece. I think even my teenager would love this feature of the playground.

The playground also has a nice little nature play area also under good natural shade and alongside the main playground. It has some balancing logs with wood chips underneath and a couple of creatures amongst the logs.

Those of you who visited this park before the upgrade will remember it has a concrete tunnel that goes through the grassy hill. This tunnel has been retained as part of the playground upgrade and provides a unique play feature in this park.

On the other side of the hill is the public toilet block and free public tennis courts. There courts have night lighting and are free to use with no booking required.

A picnic shelter and set of BBQs is located alongside the playground.

There is lots of grassy area around the playground area and plenty of shade so it’s a great playground for a family gathering or just to meet friends.
