Britannia Reserve Bike Trail and Pump Track Leederville

Fun bike trail and pump track close to the city at the big Britannia Reserve Leederville

Britannia Reserve Bike Trail and Pump Track Leederville Features – Bike Trail | Pump Track | Sporting Reserve | Shared Pathway | Close to Cafes & Restaurants

The Britannia Reserve Bike Trail and Pump Track Leederville is a wonderful spot for kids and parents who love to ride their bikes together with a 1.2km circular bike trail, pump track and shared pathway that goes around the reserve.

The bike trail is very much a beginnner level trail with a few mountain bike obstacle challenges along the way. It’s a one way, circular track that’s been created amongst the existing bushland between the reserve and the freeway / cycle way. It’s very well shaded and although you are riding pretty much alongside the freeway, you feel like you are in the middle of the bush in the hills or down south somewhere.

The trail features a series of gentle mounds, raised turns and a couple of wooden mountain bike obstacles. There are some beautiful sections that wind through the trees and the overhead canopies created by them.

The bike pump track is also a beginner level track with low level mounds and raised turns. There are some logs around the outside of the track where parents can sit and supervise if they are not riding themselves.

Toilets are located at the reserve and it is a sporting ground so you may be able to get refreshments from the canteen when it’s open for sporting events. There are also a couple of small playgrounds within the reserve.  Britannia Reserve is located near the Leederville Cafe Strip and Dejaxo Mount Hawthorn is nearby also. We continued our bike riding adventure along the cycleway and into Leederville for some lunch at Guzman Y Gomez and icecream at Fry’d.

The Britannia Reserve Bike Track and Pump Track is easily accessible via local cycle ways if you live nearby and has plenty of parking if you want to drive there. With local cafes and restaurants nearby that are also well connected by local cycle ways, this spot is perfect for bike riding families looking for a bit of an adventure or a day out on their bikes.
