Bumak’s Carnarvon Features: Home of the Famous Chocolate Coated Frozen Banana | Ice Creams | Smoothies | Local Made Preserves | Open Daily | Outdoor Dining | Cash Only ( or Bank Transfer)
You simply can’t drive through or visit Carnarvon without dropping into Bumbak’s Carnarvon for a chocolate coated frozen banana, another sweet treat or to grab some locally made preserves.
If you are driving through Carnarvon on your way north, Bumbak’s is located on North River Road and runs parallel and joins back up with the NW Coastal Hwy, so it’s not really out of your way if you are just passing though.
I remember enjoying a chocolate coated frozen banana when I stayed in Carnarvon for my year 7 camp. While we were only staying overnight in Carnarvon on our way to the Pilbara and didn’t have much time here, this was one thing I wanted to do and I was so glad we did. That frozen chocolate coated banana was just as delicious as I remembered it.
You’ll not only find the infamous frozen chocolate coated banana here but a range of ice-creams, frozen fruit desserts, smoothies and locally produced preserves.
There’s so much to wander around and look at, and you may find it hard to decide on which treat you want as there are so many delicious options to choose from.
It’s also a good spot to grab some souvenir gifts with a big range of unique and local preserves available to buy.
You don’t need to go too far off the N W Coastal highway to get to Bumbak’s, so it makes a nice place to stop to stretch your legs and enjoy a treat while on your way north or on your way home from the north at the shady outdoor dining area. Bumbak’s Carnarvon is open daily (check their facebook, link below, to check seasonal opening days and hours) and they only take cash (or you can do a bank transfer).
If you are passing through or staying in Carnarvon a visit to Bumbak’s for a chocolate coated frozen banana or other sweet treat or to grab some local preserves for yourself or as a souvenir. It’s a good place to break up the long drive north or back to Perth too.
