The Carine Tavern is a great place to head out for a casual meal with the kids. If it’s a nice day you can’t pass on eating outside by the playground and mini golf.
At the rear of the tavern is a beer garden area that has a great little playground and a mini putting green. There’s lots of room for kids to run around and plenty of room for prams and is a super relaxing place to enjoy lunch or dinner on a sunny day (not covered if it’s raining however). Unfortunately on the day we visited they didn’t have any plastic golf clubs they had all been broken but it was still fun trying to roll the light plastic balls into the holes.
There is also an indoor restaurant at the back of the tavern, there is plenty of room for prams and they have lots of colouring in pencils. Kids can enter a colouring in competition drawn monthly to win a free meal.

My son had the chicken nuggets and chips and as you can see its a good size and comes with a salad
This was my meal – it was a chicken and mushroom filo and was AMAZING! Was so determined not to eat it all but I just couldn’t help it, it was delicious.
Just note while the back playground area is mostly fenced from the carpark at the back it isn’t completed enclosed, so children must be watched closely to ensure they don’t wander into the back car park.
Overall we loved our lunch at The Carine, the staff were so friendly and helpful, there was a great relaxed family atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. We met with friends we hadn’t see for ages and all agreed it was the most relaxed meal out with the kids we had, had in ages.
