If you are looking for Swan River location to take the kids fishing. to launch the kayaks or stand up paddle boards, enjoy a swim or a walk along the river, you’ll love Claremont Jetty.
The jetty is quite long and wide with plenty of room to pull up a spot and throw in a line. According to ilovefishing.com.au you can expect to catch black bream, flathead, flounder, tailor, herring, pilchard, mulloway, silver Bream, yellowfin whiting, squid, crabs and river prawn here. The jetty is not very high so there is no diving off the jetty here.
This is also a beautiful spot to launch the kayaks or canoes, with access straight down to the waters edge from the jetty platform entrance.
There’s not much grass or sandy shore here so it’s not great for a picnic. Mrs Herberts Park is just up the road from here that’s a better spot for picnicking.
Toilets are located at the entrance to the jetty and there are some parking spaces here too. The parking spaces are limited so you may be lucky to get a spot, or you may need to drop your things at the jetty and park in the surrounding streets.
