The Coogee Beach South Pirate Playground is located on the grassy foreshore at the southern end of Coogee Beach right alongside The Surfing Lizard Espresso Bar, so you can enjoy a meal before or after your play or grab something to enjoy at the playground.
From the playground there is good access to the beautiful Coogee Beach. You can wander up the beach a little and walk along the jetty. There are showers near the playground and toilets in the Surf Life Saving Club building.

The Surfing Lizard is open daily from 7am – 3pm. They have indoor dining so you can dine inside if there is rain about. If it’s a sunny day you can enjoy dining in the outdoor area, they have umbrellas over the tables. The menu looks great with $6 kids meals, a range of raw foods too and I’m sure they make a lovely coffee too.
