Harrisdale Skate and Scooter Park is a fabulous park for older children or younger ones who love to skate or ride with a small skate park, scooter track, full basketball court and challenging climbing frame, all in a nice quiet suburban location.
The park is located in a quiet area within the Heron Park Estate in Harrisdale and is a great place for bigger kids (or little ones who love to skate, scooter or ride their bike) to play and be active.
The main feature of the park is the skate park, It’s not too complex so it’s good for beginner to intermediate skaters. It features drop in ramps on both sides with some rails in between. Seating is located at each end also.
The scooter track goes around the tall climbing frame and features road markings, signs and mounds. The wooden climbing frame has several rope ladders that lead up to high “floating” pods, so it’s best suited to older children and is the only playground type feature at this park.
The park also includes a sports court with multi-use goals at one end for shooting basketball hoops or scoring soccer goals.
Facilities include large shelters with tables and seats, a water fountain and BBQs, however there are no toilets.
The park is beautifully landscaped, with some small grassed areas and an external pathway that goes all around the park and surrounding gardens.
If you are looking for somewhere for your kids to enjoy a skate or scooter then you will love the Harrisdale Skate and Scooter Park located in a quiet part of this new estate in Harrisdale.
