Margaret River Heritage Trail Bush Walk

Check out the the beautiful Margaret River Heritage Bush Walk

Margaret River Heritage Trail Bush Walk Features; Short family bush walk approx 2-3kms return (40-60mins) | Walk path generally very compact so suitable for pram or disabled access | Start at Rotary Park Margaret River Town

The Margret River Heritage Trail Bush Walk is located in the Margaret River town, near Rotary Park. We explored the Margaret River Heritage Trail Bush Walk River Walk on this occasion.  There is also a Karri Walk & Bridge Walk on the Margaret River Heritage Trail also.

Here are some instructions on how to find the walk starting from Rotary Park, which is at the entrance to the Margaret River town if you are coming from Busselton along Bussell Hwy.

It’s a beautiful park surrounded by tall trees and right alongside the beautiful Margaret River (it’s well fenced off from the river).

Then make your way across the bridge, you’ll see the old museum up ahead

Turn left at the end of the bridge an keep walking for a few mintues – we came across this great teepee/cubby house on the way on the left hand side of the walk path.  The walk path is very compact so its got good pram & disabled access.

Keep walking for a another few minutes and the pathway veers off to your right – you will see this sign on your right hand side, this is where the board walk is so just have a look around to your left.

Follow the boardwalk along and it takes you to the edge of the Margaret River.  It’s a beautiful spot for a photo and there is this very romantic love heart shaped chair there.  There are also some plaques with information about the native flora & fauna.

You get an awesome view back up the Margaret River, pretty hard not to take some photos here.

And when you want to head back, walk along the board walk back to the track you came on, you can either walk further along by turning left, or follow the track back to the bridge and Rotary Park by turning right.

We highly recommend this walk for young families as it is flat, firm, short but very scenic and tranquil, the kids will be very excited when you stumble across the boardwalk!
