Margaret River Silk Road

Enjoy a free silk worm demonstrations & mulberry jam tastings, then relax in the courtyard cafe

Silk Worm Life Cycle Talks * Mulberry Jam Tastings * Kids Activity Table * Cafe * Devonshire Teas * Open Daily

Margaret River Silk Road grows mulberries and cultivates silk worms to produce Australian grown silk. You can learn all about the silk worm life cycle and enjoy mulberry jam tastings in the show room, then head outside to check out the Mulberry tree hot house and delight in devonshire tea, coffee or a light meal from the cafe.

When you arrive at Margaret River Silk Road you will enter through the showroom where you can find lots of silk products for sale. Here you can also see exhibits of the silk worm life cycle and if you time it right you can join in a free silk worm life cycle and silk production talk, these run throughout the day.

In the showroom you can also enjoy mulberry jam tastings

The kids can enjoy doing some colouring in, if you want to spend some time browsing the silk items.  Here you will find an array of silk scarves, bags, homewares evening paintings.

We visited right on closing so the cafe was closed. From the looks of the menu however this is a lovely place to enjoy a coffee, devonshire tea or light meal. The $5 mini muffin and coffee sounds perfect!

There is plenty of room outside for the kids to run around and they will love checking out the Mulberry tree hot house (pictured top).

Make sure you put a visit Margaret River Silk Road on your list of places to visit while you are in Margaret River. It’s in between Margaret River Nuts & Cereals and Margaret River Chocolate Factory and the perfect place to add to your free sampling trail.
