School holidays are fast approaching and if you are looking for something new to entertain the kids, why not take them on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Optus Stadium!
The Stadium officially opened on Sunday 21 January, 2018 and hosts a variety of sports and entertainment events including AFL, International and Big Bash League cricket, soccer, rugby league and union plus concerts.
This is a wonderful opportunity to take family and friends and discover the most beautiful stadium in the world (Prix Versailles 2019). Explore the inner sanctum, including the team warm up areas, change rooms and experience that game day rush of walking down the player’s race on to the field of play, just like your child’s sporting heroes!
Along the way you will discover sports memorabilia detailing WA’s rich sporting history, and make sure you take your camera because there are plenty of photo opportunities around the Stadium.
After the tour, head over to the City View café to enjoy a coffee (or babycino) and bite to eat and take in the stunning river and city views. The café is openfor breakfast and lunch from 7am-3pm each day.
The surrounding Stadium Park also provides year-round access for families to enjoy the amazing nature playgrounds, picnic and barbeque areas, public art and recreational facilities. The Park’s landscape has been designed to provide weather wind and shade protection throughout the year and sits alongside the Swan River.
Tours run daily, except on major event daysand public holidays. Select from the following tour times: 10am,11am, 1pm and 3pm. The tour is approximately 90 minutes and isfully accessible to prams and wheelchairs.
