Wanneroo Botanic Gardens and Mini Golf is Perth’s biggest little mini golf. Enjoy your family round of mini golf as you wander and take in the breathtaking botanic gardens and water features.

The Wanneroo Botanic Gardens is one of the oldest in WA, with construction of the gardens starting in 1974. The gardens feature 5 acres of over 500 species of plants and trees that attracts and homes an array of wildlife and native birds. Enjoy an escape from city life with ever changing flowers, rockeries and ponds complimenting these beautiful surroundings.

If you don’t want to play there is a small spectators fee. There is also seating at every hole, so a round of mini golf at Wanneroo Botanic Gardens is a great outing for grand parents too, they will love either joining in a round or sitting and watching the kids battle it out while looking over the stunning gardens.

We visited on a weekend during winter. There was a little bit of rain as we made our way around the course, but there were plenty of shelters to wait it out, plus the gardens were just stunning with water on all the leaves glistening in the sunshine.  We recommend wearing closed in shoes during winter though, there were a few very slightly muddy spots.

There are some really tricky holes to test even the most seasoned mini golfer. This one was super tricky and had the kids saying “I’m starting again” more than twice.

Since our last visit (quite some time ago) all the water bodies have been completely fenced which gives parents more peace of mind, however the fences aren’t very high, so kids can scale the fences so be sure to keep a close on eye on kids as you move around the course.

The last of the 18 mini golf holes brings you back to the Leap Frogs Cafe where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner, including wood fired pizzas. You can also enjoy a hot drink and cake at Leap Frogs Cafe too. Leap Frogs Cafe features indoor, alfresco and outdoor dining, including tables alongside the koi pond.

Kids can put their clubs and golf balls away at the kiosk and you can grab an ice-cream and other snacks from the kiosk too.

Night Golf is a pretty fun thing to do in the warmer months at Wanneroo Botanic Gardens and mini golf. Night golf is available Thurs – Sun and last tee off is 7.30pm.

Wanneroo Botanic Gardens and Mini Golf is a lovely spot for a family outing anytime of year, and is one the grandparents will love too. Play mini golf, enjoy something from the cafe and wander the beautiful gardens, this is a great place to hang out and relax for a morning or afternoon, and a round of night golf is a must do in the warmer months too.
