Whitfords Nodes Park is a beautiful, grassy beachside park that  is nestled behind the sand dunes of Whitfords Beach just north of Hillarys Boat Harbour and features a fantastic playground with both traditional play and naturebased play, that received an upgrade in December 2019.

The playground is separated into two distinct play areas. One with traditional play and one with nature based play. The traditional play section is well shade with shade sails, and features all sorts play equipment suitable from 2 – 12years.

It’s more suited to younger children with fairly low level play, featuring small play structure with ramp or “rock climb” access, two slides, sand play station, basket swing and separate low level “A” frame rock climbing walls.

Of course there is plenty of slide action with a double and single slide plus some ground level role play.

More adventurous kids will love the ninja cube with a combination of rope challenges and rock climbing walls to challenge their strength and agility.

The nature based play area is just beautiful and well located under natural shade. It features lots of log balance play features, wooden bridge, spinning carousle, swing set with all abilities swing and a wooden tee pee.

And how cute is this little ride in boat on springs with two steering wheels?!

Whitfords Nodes Park has all the facilities with plenty of BBQs and picnic tables and a water fountain near the playground. The toilet block is just a short stroll from the playground.

The beach is accessible from close to the playground and the playground is also located right alongside the West Coast Drive Coastal shared walkway / path and has bike racks at the playground, so it’s a nice stop as part of a family ride.

In September 2020, the Whitfords Nodes Health and Wellbeing Hub that includes a 21m ,145 step, 12 flight staircase, walk trails and exercise stations.

Just when you thought this park couldn’t get more active, a huge Ninja Obstacle Course was installed in October 2021 too.

Whitfords Nodes Park Hillarys has long been a popular place for families to hang out, particularly on weekends  and now there is even more reason to hang with this fabulous playground and the Health and Wellbeing Hub now in place to enjoy too.
