The Atrium Mandurah is your family getaway destination all year round with rooms available to accommodate large families, an indoor pool and doorstep access to Dolphin Quay and the Mandurah Foreshore.
Now many of you may have stayed at the Atrium Hotel Mandurah when you were a child yourself, it’s been around for a very long time and while it’s very clean and comfortable it is a little dated, but this didn’t have any impact on how much we enjoyed our stay.
Initially I had a bit of trouble finding somewhere that could accommodate us as we needed somewhere that slept four adults and one child and it was school holidays and we were booking last minute so there wasn’t much available. I ended up using the Hotels Combined website as it allowed me to put in the number of people we needed to sleep and then brought up places that were available on the dates we wanted and I was quickly able to find an available 3 bedroom loft at The Atrium for an excellent price.
The three bedrooms with large double bed and four single beds was perfect and included a self contained kitchen (with an oven) and balcony with views towards the Mandurah Estuary. The 3 bed loft included a bathroom and toilet upstairs and downstairs. The bathroom tiles where a little dated but were very clean and spacious enough.
The indoor pool and spa was popular with the kids and we spent a few hours in the afternoon by the pool. There were plenty of lounges around the pool so I took a book while my son mingled with the other family guests and just before dinner was super popular with lots of families enjoying a swim at this time. The pool has two sections, the main section and a smaller section shallow “toddler pool” section on the other side of the steps entry. The pool is located on the ground floor with all the rooms around the outside, making this the perfect place to stay all year round, even in winter as the pool is heated to 28 deg and the spa to 36 deg all year round. The saunas can be accessed from the pool area also.
Kids can enjoy more fun in the indoor activity room with table tennis and a few arcade games (coins required). Tennis courts are located outside too.
The restaurant is located alongside the pool area and the bar opens later in the day for a few hours, so parents can enjoy a sneaky drink or two by the pool while the kids enjoy a swim.
Buffet Breakfast (Continental) was included with our accommodation (just note we had to pay +$5 for kids and +$10 for adults to have the hot breakfast included). The buffet included a good range of cereals, hot foods, pastries and drinks and filled us up for the day out on the water we had planned.
The location of The Atrium is perfect. It’s just a short walk to Dolphin Quay and the Mandurah Foreshore where you can find a big range of dining options and Mandurah attractions to enjoy. Also note that dogs (under 20kgs) are allowed to stay at the Atrium Hotel Mandurah, so this is also a staycation or break for the whole fur family. For more information read their pet policy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Atrium Hotel Mandurah, with a good mix of time relaxing at the hotel and time out walking around and exploring Dolphin Quay and the Mandurah Foreshore. With the indoor pool it means you can holiday and enjoy a swim in the heated pool all year round. It’s perfect for accommodating larger families without having to book two rooms and the accommodation was practical, comfortable and clean and the service was super friendly. Free parking was also available within the Atrium Hotel carpark.
