The Adventure Bike Track at Peachey Park is a great free thing to do in Perth with kids. There are 11 obstacles or challenges in total with a see saw, poles to ride around, bridges, planks and more to challenge their bike riding skills and confidence.

For kids to get the most out of the adventure bike track obstacles they need to be fairly confident with riding their bike, but if they are not they can try some of the easier obstacles in the Junior Discovery section or just ride around the winding paths to practice pedalling – however the bike track is most suited to kids 5 years +.  Younger children can also ride on the footpaths around the obstacle courses too.

The Peachey Park Bike Adventure Track makes a great place for a small kids birthday party with a small undercover area with tables and chairs and a free bbq, but please keep in mind there are no toilets at the park, so alternative arrangements may need to be made for younger children.

There is also a small playground which makes this a great place to bring kids if all ages. The pathways around the Adventure Bike Track are wide but they also extend away from the bike track so kids can freely ride their bikes or scooters around.

The Peachey Park Adventure Bike Track is located only minutes from the Perth Domestic and International Airport so the kids will also love that this is is a great vantage spot for viewing planes coming in to land and just taking off. We saw one every 5 minutes on the day we were there.

We highly recommend taking the bikes along and checking out the Peachey Park Adventure Bike track, it’s located in a very quiet section of the neighbourhood.  Mums and Dads bring your bikes along too if you can and show your kids how it’s done… it’s fun for you and old.

What to bring?

Bikes and helmets of course, also great for skateboards and scooters.

There are not shops or facilities nearby so bring lots of water and a packed or bbq lunch

There is lots of grassed area so bring along a ball or a frisbee

There are plenty of trees but the overall area is not shaded so make sure you bring along sunscreen

Also there are not toilets so you may need to make other arrangements for toilet training children.

Safety Considerations most of the bike obstacles are quite challenging and they are all located on concrete footpaths, so you should prepare for a scrape or two.  Make sure you have small first aid kid with some band-aids on hand.

Also there is no water so ensure you bring along plenty of water as riding is thirsty work.

Getting There
