Bionic Me Scitech

Explore the inventive and ingenious medical and industrial breakthroughs that have helped humans change how they experience the world at the Bionic Me Exihibition at Scitech from November 14th!.

From November 14th, 2016 * Exhibition Included in Admission Costs

Bionic Me is Scitech’s latest, new and exciting exhibition (thanks to Exhibition Partner BHP Billiton) that explores the inventive and ingenious medical and industrial breakthroughs that have helped humans change how they experience the world.

The kids were immediately drawn to the Paralymics exhibit where you can race Paralympian Scott Reardon over 10 meters. Both the boys ran this over and over again and spend the majority of our time trying to get their best time – as were many other kids (and grown ups).

Next the kids climbed into a Exoskeleton and used the controls to “virtually” move around a warehouse picking up and moving items to see how an exoskeleton can enhance your strength.

The kids needed to use all their senses to find their way through this pitch black maze. A light comes on intermittently but otherwise you need to feel your way from one end of the maze to the other. Parents can watch night vision footage from inside the maze, from the outside and there is a light button on the outside if your kids need a little more light to help them find their way through.

Now you see me, now you don’t. Wrap yourself in a green cover and watch as you body appears to disappear on the big screen and learn about the different ways camouflage is used to help humans and animals hide.

See how your body radiates different levels of infrared

Test your IQ with a series of puzzles, easy and hard, where you have to determine the pattern. See if you can beat your best score and time.

Ever wondered what it was like to strap on a jet pack and fly over the city? Well put on the helmet and take a seat as you simulate fllying over the city with your jet pack on looking down on at all.

The Scitech Bionic Me exhibiton is open from November 14th, 2016 and is included in your entry fee to Scitech. It is best enjoyed by children of pre-school age and above. Make sure you head here first as the kids will want to get as much time as possible to enjoy these high tech exhibits. Of course you can still also enjoy all the other ever changing fun, science activities outside the exhibition area also with lots for toddlers right up to adults to enjoy.
