Birdie Restaurant Port Kennedy Features: Licensed Restaurant (no BYO) | Adventure Playground | Lunch & Dinner | Coffee & Cake | HIgh Chairs | Baby Change Table | Open 7 Days | Mini Putt (not available at time of review)
Birdie Restaurant Port Kennedy is located at the Links Kennedy Bay Golf Clubhouse and has a huge adventure playground alongside. While still under some construction at the time of this review, this location is shaping up to be the Wembley Golf Course of the south, with it’s buildings designed by the same architect – Gresley Abas.
If you have been to 300 Acres at the Wembley Golf Course you may notice some similarities here. While part of the golf course and the surrounding landscaping was still very much under construction at the time of this review, you can see the future potential of this already amazing family friendly dining and play location.
The adventure playgroun is like something you would see in your local suburb. With super tall tower and winding slide, tunnels, swings, nature based play, obstacles and more.
Within the playground is a mini putt course. This was not available at the time of our review due to some repair issues.
The tall tower and slide is the obvious most popular part of this adventure playground. The play area does lack shade however, so be sure to bring along sunscreen and a hat, or consider coming along for dinner on a hot day instead.
Birdie Restaurant is located in an elevated position overlooking the playground and offers indoor, on the deck and outdoor dining. It has an all day menu with lots to choose from including burgers, pizzas, tacos and salads and a kids menu too. They are open daily for lunch and dinner and have high chairs and a baby change table available in the unisex toilet.
You can also choose to dine indoors. It’s very spacious with lots of room for prams and big windows that look out onto the playground and grounds.
And you don’t need to come for a full meal you can just enjoy a coffee and cake too. The service was amazing and all our food was delicious too.
If you are looking for somwhere to head out for a family friendly meal with lots of room for the kids to run around you will love Birdie Restaurant and Links Kennedy Bay adventure playground.

How To Get There: note if you do put Birdie Restaurant on your phone it may take you to the wrong place. Try using Links Kennedy Bay instead.
