Capricorn Beach Foreshore Playground Features: Adventure Playground | BBQs | Picnic Shelters | Beach Access | Grassed Areas | Water Fountain
The Capricorn Beach Foreshore Playground Yanchep is an adventure playground that is part of foreshore development located near the old Club Capricorn site.
The playground has play features for all ages and the main feature are the two large enclosed slides that can be accessed either by climbing up the incline on the cargo rope obstacle or following the stairs to the top at the back. This is a great spot to take in the views over the ocean too.
Around the base of the slides are some balancing blocks and a spinning rope swing.
Behind the large slides is an area for the younger ones to play. This area features a low level ship themed cubby house with slide, seasaw, a sit in boat and a toddler basket swing.
Alongside the playground are BBQs, a picnic shelter and a water fountain. There is alos lots of grassed area around the playground.
Bring your small bikes and scooters along too, there are some pathways around the playground and a short walk up to a lookout point too.
The surrounding area was still very much under development at the time of this review and there are future plans for cafes, restaurants and for toilets, changerooms and surf lifesaving facilities. There aren’t any toilets located at or near the playground at present.
Capricorn Beach Foreshore Playground is a nice place for a play and a swim if you are up Yanchep way and we look forward to seeing how this area develops into an established foreshore and surrounding community.
