Caterpillar Park Mandurah (Milgar St Reserve) is a the perfect playground for the younger ones with mostly low level play, spread out across this big naturally shady and fenced playground.

caterpillarparklogs

We loved this park particularly for the younger ones who like to explore. Most of the play features are low level and they are spread out across the park with lots of space to run in between each.  Bigger kids may find it a little unchallenging, other than the flying fox most of the equipment within the fenced park is designed for toddlers and preschoolers.

caterpillarparkcubbyhouse

This cubby house near the log balance, was a hit with my son. It’s a nice little spot to enjoy some role play or to enjoy your morning tea.

There are a few little slides in the shade at the top of the park – as you can see these are perfect for little adventurers

caterpillarparktyres

This is the caterpillar tyre climb that gives the park it’s name. You can see a liberty swing in the background this can be accessed by contacting the Mandurah Council.

caterpillarparkhammock

There is plenty to keep little ones busy around the park. Here is a hammock, seesaw and in the background are low monkey bars and chin up bars.

And a super fun spinning climbing frame

The bigger kids can enjoy some fun too with the single cable flying fox. There is a big sand bag to stand on so little kids can get themselves onto the seat too to have a go. Outside the fenced are as a basketball hoop to for the bigger kids.

Next to the park outside the fenced area is this bmx track. So bring the bikes along if you think the kids would like to take on a few jumps.  There are also some footpaths within the park perfect for riding small bikes and scooter.

Caterpillar Park Mandurah is the perfect place for little ones to play or meet up with family and friends.  There are a few play features for bigger kids – but it is more suited to toddlers, preschoolers and early primary school kids.
