Centenary Park features two playgrounds. The main playground featured below is only accessible by parking on Daly St and walking around to the Elmsfield St side. There is no parking permitted in Elmsfield Street near this playground. It’s only a short walk with the whole lake walk approx 1.1km long. There is a water fountain and bbq located near the main playground.
If you start at the carpark on Daly St, you will find the climbing frame play area. Here there are bbqs, a water fountain and toilets, so it’s a good place to start and use the toilets before enjoying your walk around the lake.
The 1.1km lake walk is fully pathed so is suitable for prams, bikes and scooters. There are exercise stations all the way round and the kids will love seeing these big duck head sculptures place at various spots around the lake.
Centenary Park Belmont is the perfect park if you want to enjoy a walk then a play. Just at the end of Daly St (on the cnr of Great Eastern Hwy) is a McCafe so you can grab a coffee on the way. This playground is close to the airport so if you ever find yourself waiting for a delayed flight this is a great place to enjoy a play while you wait.
