When it comes to Chipmunks Playland and Cafe in Whitfords, it’s definitely a case of big not necessarily being better! Chipmunks Whitfords is not the biggest play centre you will most likely have been to, but it certainly doesn’t lack in the fun department.
The most obvious feature of the multi-level play structure is all the slides! There is a maze of slides running all through the play structure that the kids need to negotiate their way through to find their way around.
Kids will also love the Ball Battle area. Here there are lots of ball activities, many using air to balance balls in the air, with the most popular the air powered guns kids can use to shoot foam balls. There is also a great musical piano mat in this area my 3yo just loved! This area is recommended for 5 years and above, but my 3 yo had no problem negotiating this area and enjoyed shooting and playing with the balls.
They also have a couple of other fun little areas for the younger kids. For the toddlers there is a great boat shaped play area with slides and ball pit. And for the under 2’s there is a fenced off area with a small ball pit, play kitchen, toys and a comfortable lounge for parents.
Another big hit is the giant inflatable slide alongside the cafe area!
The cafe has heaps of food & drink options and affordable prices. They have a great menu with lots of healthy food options like fruit skewers, yogurts, wraps – and I love that they do a basic sandwich with their favourite filling (honey, jam, vegemite etc).
The no outside food or drink rule is also applied at this play centre, however they have lots of affordable options for lunch or snack and high chairs are also available.
We have been to Chipmunks three times in the last few weeks, I like that it’s small enough that I can keep track of both the kids – but I have been told it can be standing room only on the weekends!
Make sure you ask for your loyalty card too – visit 9 times and get your 10th visit for free! They now also have a coffee loyalty card, but 4 coffees get the 5th free
Parking: you can park out the front on the Whitfords Ave side, but there is more parking behind the building to the side of the Bunnings
What to Bring: SOCKS! No socks no play – socks are available to purchase however.
