Clarkson Reserve Maylands Features: Nature Playground | Toilets | Water Fountain | Picnic Tables | Tennis Wall
Clarkson Reserve Maylands is a lovely quiet section of the Maylands Peninsula with small nature based playground and large grassy reserve perfect for a picnic all with beautiful views of the Swan River.
The small nature based playground is perfect for toddlers with low level play and is located away from the waters edge. It features a small wooden fort with a low ramp climb or low platform entry that toddlers should be able to negotiate without too much assistance. Balancing logs and rocks and a basket swing are found alongside the wooden fort too.
Alongside the playground is a tennis wall, so bring the tennis rackets along for a family hit around. Toilets, a water fountain and a picnic shelter are located alongside the playground. The City of Bayswater website says there are bbqs at the reserve but we couldn’t see them near the playground area. They could be further up towards the gazebo, as it is a very large reserve. There are lots of cafes in central Maylands to grab a coffee on the way including Steam Haus Maylands .
The large shady and grassy reserve is located across the car park from the playground and is the perfect spot for some tree climbing, to run around, enjoy a picnic or maybe even throw in a fishing line. A shared path extends throughout the reserve so you can enjoy a bike ride or scooter ride in either direction. Clarkson Reserve Maylands is a beautiful spot for a quiet picnic and play by the Swan River.
