Donnie Taco West Perth Features: Tacos | Basketball Court | Table Tennis | Toy Box | High Chairs | Baby Change Table | Outdoor Dining | Breakfast & Lunch | Open Monday – Saturday
Donnie Taco is a fun place to hang out, particularly for families with bigger kids or kids who love to shoot hoops. This funky hang out zone has a basketball court, table tennis and open air dining area with a menu that specialises in tacos.
Donnie Taco is popular with local West Perth businesses during the week, so the best time to visit for families is Saturday mornings (it’s open 8am – 1pm). Be sure to follow their facebook page so you can look out for the kids eat free specials some Saturday mornings. Plus parking is free on Kings Park Road on Saturdays too.
Kids will love hanging out here, there is plenty of room to move around with table tennis and an elevated deck with small toy box too. There are a couple of small tables and chairs that you can move to wherever it is you want to sit, perhaps closer to the basketball court or out from under the shaded area to catch a bit of sun later in the day.
The main feature of the menu is tacos. There are all day breakfast and all day lunch tacos, all $7. They didn’t have kids tacos on the menu but where happy to simplify the ingredients to make a bacon and cheese taco for one of my boys, the other chose a ham and cheese croissant and some banana bread.
Aside from tacos there are a few other sweet items on the menu banana bread and hedgehog slice, and there are a few baked items, including raw bliss balls available at the counter. La Paleta natural hand made ice treats are also available from the freezer. Drinks include Twin Peaks coffee, soft drinks water and juice. On special kids eat free days a kids taco menu is available.
I couldn’t resist trying the Jack Fruit Taco from the All Day Lunch Tacos menu. Considering it was meat-free it was super delicious. I highly recommend trying this one.
Now to the main attraction the basketball court. Using the court is free, and they run 3 x 3 competitions for the grown up, as well as host special events which you can find out about from their facebook page (linked below). The space is also available for hire. With less local business crowd and a more family friendly vibe, Saturdays are the best time to visit to hang out and enjoy the tacos, coffee and basketball.

Donnie Taco West Perth is the perfect place to just hang out and enjoy some quality time with the kids to enjoy shooting some hoops, a taco or two and a coffee. It’s right across from Kings Park so you could pop in before or after a visit to Naturescape or one of Kings Parks other awesome playgrounds, but just remember is only open from 8am – 1pm Saturdays.
