Edwards Wines is a must visit if you are holidaying in Margaret River. It’s located only 10 mins drive from Margaret River town and is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic with the family and sample some of the best wines of the region.
We were first attracted to Edwards Wines to check out the Tiger Moth plane they had in the shed just across from the tasting room. And what we also found is that Edwards Wines is a great place to have a picnic as a family, with lots of outdoor games for the kids, bubble wands to play with and a beautiful picnic area, with bean bags and wine barrel tables to place your BYO cheese platters or snack plate.
Edwards Winery is peaceful and tranquil and has a magnificent back drop. You can taste their delicious wines in the tasting room and purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy with your picnic. You can also purchase bottles to take away. Unfortunately there is no BYO alcohol permitted however.
The tasting room has a little toy box and kids books so the kids can have a little play while you enjoy some tastings of the delicious Edwards Wines. They also sell little tubs of icecream from local icecream make Two Fat Cows for $4 at tub
If you are in Margaret River, pop into Edwards Wines, tell them Kids Around Perth sent you. The staff are lovely and it is a family operated and owned business so they love families coming in to say hello!
What to bring: BYO cheese platter, snack plate or picnic lunch, and maybe bring a ball to kick around with the kids
