Experience Lancelin Holiday Park

Take the family on a seaside staycation just an hour from Perth at the Experience Lancelin Holiday Park

Experience Lancelin Holiday Park Features: Seaside Tent & Caravan Sites | Camp Kitchen | BBQs | Jumping Pillow | Playground | Indoor Heated Pool & Spa | Recreation Room | Dog Friendly Sites Available

Welcome to Experience Lancelin Holiday Park located roughly 1.5 hours from Perth along Indian Ocean Drive. Lancelin Caravan Parks have had a bad wrap in the past with unwelcoming hosts, run down facilities and general avoid camping at all costs vibes…..Until now!

We just spent a lovely weekend at Experience Lancelin Holiday Park. Beach front sites, warm host welcoming and plenty of things to keep the kids entertained which makes for a peaceful stay for mum and dad!

Being able to cook up your camping meals from the onsite camp kitchen whilst having beautiful views of the Indian Ocean was definitely a bonus. Inside the camp kitchen you will find 2 gas stove cooking areas with stainless stove top kettles, an oven and microwave plus plenty of pantry and fridge storage for your foods. Seating available inside where you can watch the footy on TV or outside by the 2 gas BBQ’s and enjoy the ocean and surrounds.

A heated spa and 1.5 metre deep pool was great for all ages. I definitely relished sitting in the heated spa and relaxing whilst getting the kids to hit the black reset button for the bubbles every now and again. The main pool is heated but still a tad refreshing but that didn’t bother the kids from swimming around in it. It also has a wheel chair access ramp directly into the pool for those in need or even for the little ones.

Experience Lancelin Holiday Park has the longest jumpy pillow my kids have ever seen was an absolute hit with all the kids chasing each other around. I personally love a good jumpy pillow I can have a jump on too! There is also a boat playground with an added seesaw and spinning bowl in the sand area. Huge grassed area to kick the footy or play chasey plus on the odd occasion they sometimes have coffee/food trucks in that area too.

All the onsite water is bore water with selected taps for drinking use. I found even the drinking water had a slight saline taste to it. If your picky about your water (like I am) then maybe consider bringing your own drinking water.

Experience Lancelin Holiday Park has a few permanent residents on site that were lovely to chat to, they also had some resident rabbits that enjoyed hopping around and it was a delight for the kids to see. The park has the choice between a full range of powered and un-powered sites, concrete slab and grassed sites which were all of good size. You can also chose from beach front sites with direct access to the south beach or sites slightly hidden behind bush/dune areas. They currently do not have any chalets available, however this may change in the future.

The famous Lancelin Sand Dunes were less that a 5 min drive away. The day that we visited was cold and windy but that didn’t stop everyone from enjoying the dunes! If you don’t have a board then there’s sand dune boards to hire starting around $20 for 30mins along with quad bike hire for single or up to 4 people. My boys were happy sliding down the dunes on their boogie boards.

Next time you’re travelling north of Perth or looking for a quick weekender to get away from it all, then definitely book into Experience Lancelin Holiday Park. They also have discounts for G’day Memberships and are pet friendly – just check with reception first. Enjoy your Beach stay!
