We had been wanting to visit Feast Cafe Wembley for quite a while, so when we were looking for somewhere central to have a family get together with somewhere for my less than 12month old niece to crawl around Feast Cafe Wembley with their play room was the first thing that came to mind.
First on the agenda was to order the Dino French Toast (it’s a baby dino, sitting under a tree on a warm sunny day – can you see it?). Master 4 was pretty excited about getting dinosaur toast for breakfast.
We booked ahead and were lucky to have been seated right alongside the play area. It’s an enclosed room with a large, sound proof, viewing window from the cafe dining area.
You may have visited before or seen pictures before of a large ball pit in the room, unfortunately it had to go as balls were finding their way into the hallway and kitchen and they were becoming dangerous for staff and patrons.
So now there are just toys and a table and chairs, but the kids loved having the space to get up and move around and have a play.
The kids had a play while we waited for breakfast, which wasn’t long. They have a fantastic range of healthy foods to choose from, I had poached eggs on toast with a side of baked beans for $9.50 an the most amazing freshly blended green juice with kale, celery, apple, lemon and mint. Master 4 was super happy with his Dinosaur French Toast ($10.50) – you can also get Butterfly Toast and egg for just $6.50 (you can order from the kids breakfast menu until 11.45an)
They have a beautiful range of cakes too, so it’s a great place to come for just coffee and cake too, they use the popular and delicious Five Senses coffee. There is plenty of room between tables for prams and the staff are very friendly – it really is the perfect place to dine with young children and meet up with friends and family. There is also a Feast Cafe in Nedlands.
We found plenty of parking in the complex across the road, as there isn’t much street parking alongside Feast Cafe Wembley.
