Gibbon Park Mosman Park

Enjoy a mix of traditional play and nature based play at this small suburban park

Gibbon Park Mosman Park Features: Naturebased Playground | Seating | BBQs | No Toilets | Basketball Courts

Gibbon Park Mosman Park received an upgrade in early 2021 with a nature based play area added alongside the existing traditional playground and basketball courts.

The existing traditional playground is located under shade sails in summer and is a little dated but includes a ladder, steps, small wall climb and rope bridge access to a small slide. A see-saw is also alongside under the shaded area.

Plus there is a small toddler play feature alongside the shaded playground with a role play window and abacus, that is covered with natural shade only depending on the time of day.

The nature play area that is an addition to this park is located in between the traditional playground and the basketball courts. While there isn’t much shade here, trees have been planted that should provide good natural shade in the years to come.

The area features a range of logs, rocks, ropes and a shelter all on a wood chip surface.

And of course it also features a birds nest swing. There is a small picnic shelter and BBQ’s is located at the entry to the park in front of the nature play area. There are no toilets.

The basketball courts (The Margaret Baldwin Centre) are free to use and don’t require a booking. If you are wanting a coffee the nearest cafe is Belin Mosman Park and it’s just around the corner.

Gibbon Park Mosman Park is a great park for families who love nature play and being active and is located in a quiet location that you can expect not to be too busy at most times.
