Hesperia Park Ellenbrook Features: Adventure Playground | Water Play | Water Fountain | Picnic Shelters | Seating | No Toilets | No BBQs | Service Stations Nearby
Hesperia Park Ellenbrook is another example of the amazing inner suburb playgrounds popping up across Perth that keep getting better and better! We soaked up some of this glorious winter sunshine and headed out to explore this newly established playground and we were not disappointed.
Hesperia Park Ellenbrook has a huge slide that even had an enclosed lookout at the top! There are 3 different entry points to the slide that caters for all individuals. Bottom entry was at the base of the ladder, next level had a set of stairs on one side and then a long winding ramp to the ladder on the other. My boys then only had one level of climbing to get to the slide or another above that for the look out. If your kids get stuck or the inevitable happens and the kids want you to join them (Mummy come on the slide with meeeeeee!) then just a side note that the ladder way is a tad tight and your going have to be flexible! in saying that – I managed to climb to the lookout tower and a Dad thumped/tumbled his way down the slide with laughs had by all.
There is a netted swing at the base of the slide area, along with a hammock swing as well as a little water pump that my boys weren’t too keen on, but the little ones would love to pump it and watch the water splash against the rocks. A water fountain is located here too.
A combination basketball and netball hoop area is great for the bigger kids and there was also plenty of grassed area to run around on or to kick the footy about.
There are no toilets located at the park but there is a petrol station 100m up the road that I’m sure you could use and buy an ice cream too!
The area is still very new where buildings are being established and roads need to be finished but Hesperia Park is definitely going to be another great community park within the suburb of Ellenbrook.
