Hyde Park Water Playground Features: Free Shaded Water Playground | Toilets | BBQ’s | Gazebos | Baby Change Table | Disabled Toilets | Free 3 hour Parking in street | Runs Seasonally November – Late March
Hyde Park Water Playground is a free water playground found at the beautiful Hyde Park on the outskirts of Perth city, The kids will love the water playground with cannons, sprays and tipping buckets and runs seasonally from November to late March.
If you get there and it’s not running, don’t worry you may just need to press the very well camouflaged button on top of the green post (pictured below). You’ll need to press the button again every 10 minutes or so, but you know how kids love buttons, they’ll all be lining up to have a go! The water runs from 8am – 8pm (confirm times with the City of Vincent). The playground can sometimes be closed for maintenance so if you are planning to travel a long way a call to the City of Vincent first may be a good idea to make sure its running.
This Perth water park is well located alongside large shady trees (perfect for tree climbing) and has shade sails over it also. There is lots of grassed area and a couple of gazebos around the water playground so you can relax and watch the kids, or join in and get wet yourself.
The bbq and large gazebo right alongside the playground is perfect for larger gatherings. There are more barbeques near the Hyde Park Playground also, which is about 150m away from the water playground.
Free 3 hour parking is located around the perimeter of Hyde Park. Parking can be limited on a busy day so be prepared to have to park a little bit away from the water playground and walk. There is a wonderful dry playground within the park also that the kids will love. The water playground and playground are also located alongside a beautiful lake that is lovely to walk, ride or scoot around. for more information see our review of the Hyde Park Playground.
The Hyde Park Perth Water Playground is a must visit in summer. Enjoy a barbeque breakfast, lunch or dinner by the water playground, or bring the scooters along and enjoy a walk around the lake before or after your splash at the water playground. It’s pretty easy to play the day away at Hyde Park.
