Once you know where this park is it isn’t hard to find. If you are driving out of Perth city along Mounts Bay Road, you will see the park sign and a small carpark on the left before the large roundabout that allows you to keep travelling west on Mounts Bay Road, or takes you back onto Riverside Drive.

This beautiful playground is hidden away amongst thick tropical gardens and grassy hills.  It has a couple of beautiful water features, but this means of course you must closely supervise young children as they do present a water hazard.

Unfortunately the sprinklers were on the day we went, so we couldn’t use the playground, however the massive slide was enough to keep the kids happy for the hour or so we stayed and played.  Although this park sits alongside the Mitchell/Kwinana freeway it is well protected from noise by the gardens and set well back from the road.

Most popular features of this park with the kids had to be the massive slide and beautiful tropical waterfall! There is something about a slide this big that says adults welcome.  Nearly every adult had a turn while we were there, and the kids love their Mums and Dads having a go and getting involved.

This park is definitely worth the visit and a couple of hours parking fee – This park is unique with its beautiful gardens and waterfall, its perfect for the kids to do a bit of exploring, climbing on rocks and poking sticks in the water.  There is a bbq alongside the playground within the park.

What to bring:

Scooters/small bikes as the cycle way winds through this park | BBQ or packed lunch/snack | Change or credit card for parking meter if you drive

Safety Considerations:

There are several water features, so very close supervision is required of young children as they do present a significant water hazard.

How to Get There: Mounts Bay Road, Perth.
