A day of free fun and entertainment at Yagan Square’s KIDS BIG DAY OUT!
Wednesday 18 January 10am – 2pm
On Wednesday 18 January Yagan Square will transform into a festival of fun and excitement at the Kids Big Day Out. From 10am to 2pm across the ampitheatre and William Street Mall, families are invited to enjoy live entertainment and interactive and educational activities at this one-of-a-kind school holiday event.
Live on stage catch free performances from PAW Patrol , The Avengers , Cosmo the Clown Magic Show , an interactive freestyle rap game show from Whose Rhyme , and The Sevo Show from TikTok sensation @Sevspics!
A range of free activities for all ages and tastes include Spider wall rock-climbing and bungee trampolines, hair braiding, Indigenous facepainting, skateboarding workshops by Beyond Skate, a glitter bar and the biggest bubbles in Perth!
Children will get to meet and take a photo with their favourite superhero, fairy or princess as well as special PAW Patrol characters roaming throughout the day.
Refresh and refuel at the Juice Station, The Lolly Bus, or dine at any of Yagan Square’s family-friendly restaurants including The Shoe, Gangnam Korean BBQ, Hiss & Smoke or Street Eats Eatery.

Kids Big Day Out – Performers
PAW Patrol:
The whole family will enjoy these PAW-SOME shows complete with heroic characters, fun songs and dances, interactive elements and captivating storylines! Catch Chase and Marshall live on stage, and roaming through crowd for meet and greets.
Whose Rhyme:
Daniel Delby and freestyle rap god Macshane, have joined forces for the most interactive freestyle game show ever created. Involving the audience’s input directly, they get the kids and parents on stage to rhyme, mime, and guess their way through a series of creative freestyle word games that will have you laughing and admiring your child’s ability to freestyle rap.
The Avengers:
The ultimate superhero interactive experience! The Avengers show will feature six Avengers characters including; Spiderman, Ironman, Captain America, Hulk, Black Panther, and Black Widow. The Avengers will, perform stunts and interact with the audience. Ironman and Spiderman will also roam around Yagan Square after the show to take photos with children.
Cosmo the Clown Magic Show:
Roll up, roll up and let Cosmo entertain you with magic, comedy, music and dance. After many years of Busking and hosting kids’ parties, Cosmo has perfected the art of pure, light-hearted entertainment. Be enchanted by his charismatic personality and join in the antics of a fun-filled show. A Bit Of Fun & Magic is a perfect show for the whole family.
The Sevo Show:
Seva Mozhaev (or @sevspics as most would know him) is a Perth school teacher turned Tik Tok influencer whose popularity is evident through his 1.3 million social media followers. His comedic videos involve him interviewing strangers and getting up to mischief around Perth. This 6 foot 10 gentle giant is a Tiktok legend and entrepreneur. His journey to success is sure to inspire the young minds of Perth.
Kids Big Day Out – Activities
Hair Braiding by Braids for Days:
Styling hair since 2016, Braids For Days offers aesthetic, fashionable and on-trend hair styling for young boys and girls. With their various techniques, they will have children excited to let their hair down these school holidays.
Skateboarding workshops by Beyond Skate:
The team behind Perth’s biggest indoor skate parks is coming down for Kids Big Day Out! Beyond Skate is bringing some of their best coaches to Yagan Square to teach the basics of skating. Learn to stand, push and roll in a safe environment with skateboards and safety equipment provided so even the first timers can have a go! Even if you’ve already nailed the skating basics, the coaches will help you level up with some cool skateboarding tricks. With giveaways and prizes from Beyond Skate up for grabs too, this is not one to miss!
Rosie’s Big Bubbles:
Everyone wants to be involved when there are Big Bubbles! It does not matter how old or how young you are, bubbles are for everyone. Rosie will entertain with giant bubble entertainers, and watch out for the bubble storm!
Spiderwall Rock Climbing and Bungee trampolines:
For the first time ever Yagan Square will feature the Spider wall Rock Climbing activity at the Kids Big Day Out. This is a chance for all dare devils to face their fears or get their adrenalin pumping as they climb their way to the top of the tower.
For those that prefer their feet somewhere closer to the ground, the bungee trampolines will provide the fun.
