King Road Brewing Co is your perfect family brewery experience south of Perth. It’s about a 40 min drive south but totally worth it and makes a good day trip destination. It has a real rural feel, with surrounding fields of cattle and horses to be seen as you come up the driveway.
You won’t believe your eyes when you see the size of the play area in the large grassed area outside the brewery. There are a few different play areas with something for kids of all ages. Kids of all ages will love the wooden fort surround by nature based play features. Rock, balancing logs and cargo net rope climb.
Around the wooden fort is a car, boat and tractor the kids can climb all over and pretend they are driving.
There’s also a shaded playground and swings in the play area alongside the grassed dining area.
Little ones will love the shaded sandpit too, with seating located right alongside too.
There’s plenty of seating outside on the grass within view of the kids play area, and there is lots of shade over the tables outside also. (It was a little wet when we visited but looking forward to visiting on a nice sunny day). No bookings are required, walk ins are welcome (but check on special occasions like Father’s Day, Easter etc, if bookings are required).
If it’s raining there is lots of seating inside too, including a nice roaring hot fire, as well as some covered seating outside.
King Road Brewing Co brews it’s own cider and also pours other brews and wines from around the local region. They are open Wed – Sun for lunch and open later Fridays & Sundays, with a great menu that includes full meals, light meals/snacks, kids meals, desserts and wood fired pizzas. Plenty of high chairs are available also.
King Road Brewing Co is a rural brewery experience the whole family will love. You’ll easily drink, dine and play the day away here, with plenty of sunshine and fresh air to be had. If it’s a bit of a drive for you, you wont be disappointed, it’s the perfect family road trip day out destination or place to stop and feed the crew while you explore our far south.
