Kingsley Tavern Features: Family Friendly Dining | Playground | Kids Meals | High Chairs | Big Screen TV’s | Colouring In / Activity Sheet | Open Daily
The Kingsley Tavern is the perfect place for family friendly dining where the kids can play and the grown ups can catch their favourite sport on the big screen and enjoy a drink or two..
We had an hour before an appointment and my son needed some lunch so we decided to pop into The Kingsley Tavern and we were pleasantly surprised with the kids play area at the tavern’s main entrance. The sun was shining, the tunes were playing, footy was on the big screen, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the kids were loving the play area. It has an overall great vibe.
Fortunately it was a warm sunny day and it wasn’t too busy so we got a table right next to the play area. The play area is fully enclosed and features a wooden fort with small rock climbing wall and ship steer.
The tunnel at the bottom that goes all the way around was a hit. The play area has an artificial grass surface with shade, seating and a small table within the play area (no alcohol is to be brought into this area).
Parents will love the big screen in the outside dining area near the playground and in fact there are big screens throughout the venue. The Kingsley Tavern was recently renovated and it’s totally classy inside and out, I was super impressed. The indoor dining is very spacious with plenty of room prams or to accommodate larger dining groups.
It may be a little tricky to score a table near the play area on a busy day, but there is another outdoor dining area on the other side of this one that has open access to the play are also.
The Kingsley Tavern has a fantastic menu as well as a separate kids menu that is also an activity / colouring in. Pencil cases are given to you with the menu so your kids can complete their sheets. My son had the nuggets and chips which came with a little salad too. All kids meals come with a pop top drink.
If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a pub meal, a drink or two, sports on the big screen with somewhere for the kids to play you will love, love, love The Kingsley Tavern. It’s best enjoyed on a sunny day but there’s plenty of room and sports on the big screens inside too should you choose to dine on a rainy day.
