Manning Park is a lovely, shady park that resides alongside Manning Lake and features a big castle themed playground. Sunday afternoons you can visit the Azelia Ley Homestead Museum also located within the park.

The playground is well shaded with shade sails, and has a castle theme. It has a few different sections with features for big and little kids alike. With ramps, big and small slides, monkey bars, firemans poles, and ground level play kids of all ages will love exploring this playground.

There is also an all abilities Liberty Swing located at Manning Park. An access key to operate the ramp and strap is available from the City of Cockburn.

Manning Park Spearwood is rich with history. The Azelia Ley Homestead Museum is open Sunday (1.30-4.30pm) and school holidays Wednesdays (10am – 1pm). You can wander the many rooms and learn about the history of the local area.

This is also a fantastic place for some family activity. With a path around the lake so you can scooter, ride, walk or push the pram around the lake. It’s approximately 1.2km around so it’s a nice length walk for young families.

You can also climb the Manning Stairs to the lookout. There are just under 200 stairs to the top and you get an amazing view over Coogee and Fremantle from the viewing platform at the top. You can also enjoy the Davilak Walking trail which starts behind the museum. It’s a limestone track with lots of historical ruins to see along the way, and will take you around 2 hours to complete the trail.

There are lots of open spaces, BBQs, plenty of shade and grassed are to picnic, picnic tables and lots of parking. Manning Park is a lovely park to spend the day or to meet up with friends and family for a picnic or to enjoy a walk around the lake or on the historical walk trail.
