In the centre of this park is Masons Garden Turtle Pond. It’s a fenced area with a few access gates that let you access viewing areas, so you can go inside and get a closer look at the Oblong Turtle that this pond nutures.  We saw tens of these turtles and as you can imagine it was a big thrill for the kids.

You can enjoy observing the turtles but don’t disturb them or climb on the rocks and most importantly don’t feed them.

Once you’ve met the turtles head over to the playground and you will find a sign that starts you on an art trail. Start at the sign and follow the artwork around the park from from #12 to #1.

The kids will love running through the park finding the artwork in number order, and of course they will want to have their photo taken with them all.

You’ll find #1 in the parks dense garden my boys called the enchanted garden.  You can wander through this beautiful garden with low hanging canopy and dense bushland to make your way back to the playground area.

The playground isn’t anything special just a small toddler play structure and swings, and a climbing frame. The kids loved the climbing frame though with a different climbing challenge on each side.

Bring along a basketball and tennis racket and have some active family time on the half court basketball and tennis wall. There is a path that goes all the way around the park too, so it’s a good park for bringing along the scooter. There is lots of grassed area so you can enjoy kicking a ball and having a run around or climbing a tree or two.
