The Middleton Beach Playground is a must while in Albany. You can enjoy dining alongside this beautiful foreshore while the kids play and if it’s warm enough you might like to have a swim at the beach too. Middleton Beach is located approximately 6mins drive east of the main Albany townsite.

The Middleton Beach Playground is located on the foreshore of Ellen Cove in Albany and features a wooden pirate ship themed playground.

Around the main playground are individual play features including a sand play wheel, ride on bouncers, spinning platform and balancing logs plus a small climbing cargo net.

There’s also a set of wooden swings with a traditional swing, toddler swing and long rope swing.

Three Anchors has a separate cafe and restaurant located right in front of the playground and overlooks the foreshore and the Ellen Cove beach. You can grab your coffee or other drinks plus a treat or a light snack to enjoy at the playground from the cafe, or you can dine in the restaurant section that overlooks the playground and the beach.

Middleton Beach is a lovely place for a swim at the beach on a warm sunny day with a stunning back drop of large hills and islands across this protected bay in the distance. The Big 4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park is just a short walk away too so this is a great place to stay when holidaying in Albany with kids.
