Moonstone Parkway Park Emerald Park Estate

Small but packed with fun playground set amongst natural bushland at Emerald Park Estate Wellard

Treehouse Theme Playground * Nature Based Play * Exercise Stations * Basketball Court * Drink Fountain * Sheltered Picnic Table * Small Grassed Area

Moonstone Parkway Park (that’s what we have called it anyway it’s not showing on google maps and there is no sign giving it a name) in Emerald Park Estate Wellard is a small playground that is jam packed with fun.

What’s most intriguing about this park is the amount of bushland that has been left and how the park has been built within it. There is not need for man made shade here, the natural shade from the tall trees throughout the playground is all that’s needed.

The natural element has been well implemented throughout the park with natural log tee pees, lots of balance logs and the nuetral yellow and orange theme that blends in nicely with the natural backgroundthat also brings out the fun element of the park.

I absolutely loved this climbing frame with a difference. With rope, ladder or rock climb to a horizontal net at the top and the pull up bars (I’ve currently set a goal for myself to be able to do a pull up, so I absolutely love the positioning of the bars around the outside. Perfect or parents to do some exercise while their kids play right alongside them. I’m half way to doing a pull up by the way, YAY!)

The biggest feature is this treehouse style play structure with rope climb up, slide down and a little birds nest swing on the side over green soft fall. There is a sheltered picnic table and water fountain right alongside this part of the playground

There is a basketball hoop for the bigger kids and a pathway that runs around the park that little ones will love to ride their scooters and small bikes around.  Exercise stations are placed around the playground so the whole family can be active together too. Unfortunately there are no toilets or bbqs here, however there are a couple of good sheltered picnic tables so bring a packed lunch along to enjoy.

Well done Emerald Park Estate Wellard this little playground is a fantastic place for families to enjoy some fun, physcial activity and nature based play together. You’ve done a great job of blending it in with the natural surroundings and preserving a lovely piece of suburban bushland in such a delightful way.  This definitely goes on our list of recent favourite finds, and thanks to Kim for the tip via Instagram !
