Neil Hawkins Park Joondalup

Play and enjoy a piece of nature at the beautiful Neil Hawkins Park

Neil Hawkins Park Joondalup Features: Playground | Toilets | BBQs | Shared Walk / Cycle Trails

Neil Hawkins Park, located lake side along Lake Joondalup, is a beautiful park and playground that is rich in nature and is perfect for a family get together or outing. With beautiful rolling green grass areas and the back drop of Lake Joondalup, Neil Hawkins Park is a nature haven for young families. The kids will love heading out onto the jetty to see the ducks and swans.

The playground is set a fair way back from the lake and is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers with lots of ground level play features, which includes a couple of musical items and see-saws.

My 2 yo just loved these cute little train carriages, one features a little slide too. For the bigger kids there is a larger play structure with slide, however there are no swings in this playground. The playground is semi-enclosed and is good for toddlers and primary school aged kids.

You are sure to see and experience lots of bird life at Neil Hawkins Park.

A walk out onto the jetty to look out over Lake Joondalup to see the many ducks and other water birds is a must.

Several shared pathways wind through the park and continue onto in both a north and south direction around the lake, so bring your walking shoes, bikes or scooters along and enjoy a nature packed family ride or bush walk while you are here.

If you take the track to the north about 600m there is a great viewing platform overlooking Joondalup Lake, this makes for a lovely short round walk with younger kids if you are not quite up to the longer trails in each direction. The pathways are sealed the whole way along so they are suitable to do with a bike, scooter or pram.

There are several small picnic shelters with  with a few gas barbeques nearby. Toilets are located right alongside the playground, making this a great location for a birthday party, family get together or catch up with friends. You can often find a coffee van here on the weekends too.
