Neil McDougall park features a beautiful lake with a walkway all the way round – and it’s not a long walk so if you are keen you can bring the bikes and scooters along and enjoy a walk or ride around the lake before you play and the big shady playground.
The playground has lots for kids of all ages with ropes play, slides, a swing, talk tubes and a flying fox.
It has beautiful natural shade from well developed large trees throughout the park. While most of the playground is rubber soft fall or woodchips, there is a sand area with a toddler slide for the little ones.
There is also a single cable flying fox that the big kids are bound to love.
Neil McDougall Park is on our list of walk then play parks as it features a short walk around the lake. Perfect for walking, riding bikes or scooters before and/or after a play. You will find a few exercise stations around the lake too.
