Nick Thake Photography is the one to call for all your family, pet, special occassion or any other photography needs! We were lucky to be invited by Nick to take part in an underwater family taster session after school a few weeks ago.
We organised to use a friends pool and they have four kids, and my son had a friend stay over night at the last minute so the 2 child session quickly rose to a 7 child session as it was a little hard to say “no” to these “not so camera shy kids” who were so excited about getting their photo taken underwater.
The kids were so co-operative and loved trying the different ideas Nick had for their underwater shots. They loved doing this one below, climbing on each others backs – got me thinking this would be a great way to capture those precious memories at your child’s birthday pool party!
The kids loved being able to see their photos on the screen after they were taken and were pretty mesmorised by the big underwater camera with Nick uses to capture the perfect shot.
Nick is open to any ideas for your family underwater photos, we suggested some under water hoops to swim through, but feel free to make any suggestions for your family underwater shots.
Just note these photos were taken in a very quick session with lots more children than Nick expected and the pool was a little bit cloudy – but Nick ensures enough time is allocated to get the perfect photos in his sessions to secure those special family memories.
Nick is also well know for his Soggy Doggy sessions where he photographs dogs retrieving the ball underwater in the ocean or the pool. Below is a pic that was featured in the West Australian recently.
