Oggies Ice Creamery is a bit of Swan Valley icon, having been in the Swan Valley for as long as I can remember. Rarely do we leave our day out in the Swan Valley without a visit to Oggies Ice Creamery. Oggies is much more than just delicious traditional Italian gelato. Here you can also enjoy a range of light meals, hot & cold drinks, sweet treats and there is a selection of English lollies to purchase.
The kids will enjoy a play on the backyard style play equipment and there is lots of room to run around on the grass. Oggies Ice Creamery makes a great break in between winery visits or somewhere to grab a sweet treat after lunch before you head home.
You will find it tough to choose from all the amazing flavours of gelato available at Oggies Ice Creamery (except if you are my youngest son who always has chocolate). Maybe you could try the apple pie, gingernut biscuit or toffee and honeycomb. If you just can’t decide, that’s ok, just ask for a little sample of those you think you might like to help you decide. Oggies Ice Cream is made on the premises and you can choose from kids size, single serve, double serve, even triple serve or grab a 500ml or 1 litre tub to take home.
Don’t dismiss Oggies for somewhere to enjoy a light lunch also. They have a great range of affordable, light meals including homemade soups, BLT’s, pizzas, bangers and mash and lots more. It’s not just ice cream on the desserts menu either you can also enjoy hot apple pie, pancakes, waffles and sundaes. Kids meals are available for just $7 and make sure you check the specials board on your way in for something a little different everytime you visit. Oh and if you love good old fashioned English lollies head inside to check out the big range inside, and grab something to take home or give to a fellow English lolly loving friend.
Seating is mostly outside, and is under a big covered area so is a nice place to dine even if there is a bit of rain about. The play area is right alongside the dining area so you can enjoy your meal, coffee or ice cream while you watch the kids play.
No trip to the Swan Valley is complete without a trip to Oggies Ice Creamery. It’s centrally located in the Swan Valley not far from Mash Brewery and the Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm – so whether it’s a quick stop for ice cream in between winery visits or before you head home, or somewhere to enjoy an affordable, casual meal – the whole family will love Oggies.
