Openair Cinema Perth is centrally located in Perth City on Riverside Drive, corner Adelaide Terrace at Ozone Reserve. The cinema usually screens March – April each year.

We took the opportunity to enjoy a family Sundae Session screening of Home. Sundae Sessions run every Sunday during the Openair Cinema season. During these sessions you can enjoy live music on the stage and games on the lawn.

The kids had a ball playing mini gold, jenga and some other lawn games as the sunse, before they settled down to watch the movie.

The general area is not allocated seating so you are best to get there early to get the best spot. You can bring along blankets and bean loungers to use in this area. You can also hire a bean lounger to use here. If you want a fancier night out, you can book a Star Lounge ticket.  These seats are allocated and include drinks and service with your entry tickets. Another option is to book a deck chair- there is a dedicated area for these so as not to obstruct the view of others.

You can bring along your own food or drink (except for alcohol), or you can purchase pizza, snacks and drinks.

Openair Cinema Perth family screenings are usually later in the season, around mid to the end of April. The cinema is beautifully set under the tall buildings of the city and it’s amazing to watch the amazing colours from the sunset fade as all the lights from the city come on as your movie starts.

You can book our tickets online or if it’s not sold out you can purchase tickets at the gate. Note: parking is paid but you can purchase a discounted parking ticket for the Fortescue Hyatt carpark – see information and option to add this to your booking, when you book online.
