Osprey Waters Foreshore Playground Features: Playground * Nature Based Play * BBQs * Picnic Shelter * Seating * Toilets * Fish Cleaning Table * Shower * Water Fountain * Cycle / Walk Path * Exercise Stations
Tucked under the Mandurah Road Bridge is the amazing Osprey Waters Foreshore Playground (we have heard it may be called Nature’s Walk). This big adventure and nature based playground is located right on the water’s edge and is the perfect place to play, picnic, bbq and even fish.
The coolest feature of this playground is the nest cubby house. There is a small climb up to the cubby and from here you can look out over the playground, park and Mandurah Estuary.
Below the nest cubby house is a wooden play area with rock climbing wall and underneath is a secret area under the boardwalk – the perfect spot to hide from Mum and Dad.
Nature play strongly features at this playground with balancing rocks amongst the bushes and a fun wooden rope maze under natural shade.
Under the nest cubby is also some monkey bars and a couple of low net climbs, perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy a small climb.
Closer to the water’s edge is some sand play equipment, BBQs, a picnic shelter and seating. Just in front of the sand play area is some sandy beach, perfect for having a splash or throwing in a fishing line. According to ilovefishing.com fishing in the Mandurah Estuary is excellent and that herring and yellow fin whiting can be caught in the shallows.
There is even a table with running water to clean and scale your fish and a few deck chairs for those not fishing to relax and look on.
Don’t worry if you get a bit sandy or fishy, there is a shower near the BBQs and water fountain to wash off.
A cycle path / walk path runs along the length of the foreshore and runs through the playground area. Bring the scooters and small bikes along and explore the foreshore, there are features to check out all the way along. Toilets are located at the Mandurah Road Bridge end of the foreshore, where the main car park is.
Osprey Waters Foreshore Playground is the perfect spot to play, picnic, bbq and fish. If you are in Mandurah a visit to this playground is a must and we recommend you allocate at least a couple of hours to enjoy it. It’s a truly breathtaking location.
