The Maze Home of Outback Splash, is located only 45-60mins drive from Perth city, and is well worth the drive – you wont be disappointed! It’s easy to find just jump off the Mitchell Freeway at Burns Beach Rd, turn right, and keep heading east until you hit The Maze. You’ll feel like you are driving into the middle of nowhere, but there are signs all the way to let you know when you are getting close. There’s not a lot to see along the way just good old Aussie bushland then bang you see this – Outback Splash at The Maze
The Maze Home of Outback Splash in Bullsbrook Perth is so much more than just a maze. Make sure you plan to spend as much time as you can because there is so much to do, including the awesome Splash Island waterslide playground (pictured above) and the four tower slides open during the warmer months. The new tower slides, Blackout, The Wall (double raft slides) The Gold Rush and The Wedgie (single body slides) opened in November 2019 and are all super fun and exciting and make a day out at The Maze even better than it was before. There is a 120cm+ height requirement for these slides.
The Splash Island water slide playground features a series of water sprays, tall water slides and a large bucket that tips a bucket load of water down on those below every few minutes. It’s suitable for kids of all ages, however kids under 5 near to be at arms reach and kids under 11 need to be supervised with view. There are some height restrictions for the slide, with minimum height requirements for some of the bigger slides and maximum height for the toddler slide.
The Plummet inflatable water slide is also open during peak times and is a massive 10m tall and 40m long inflatable water slide for kids 110cm+, located next to the water slide tower.
The little ones don’t miss out on the water fun at Octopus Bay. Kids 10 years and under along with parents can play here. Set in a shaded 35 metre splash pool, Octopus Bay features kid-friendly water activities including a 3-slide giant octopus and a miniature tipping bucket.
All year round you can enjoy exploring the maze. After lots of u-turns, and dead ends we found our way through the maze and the kids climbed to the top of the fortress for a great view of The Maze grounds, and were excited to find they could slide their way back down to the bottom.
Throughout the grounds are lots of grassy and shady picnic areas and free BBQs to use. Near the main timber maze and the large grassy picnic area is an adventure playground, large garden games and animals to see.
There are several mazes throughout the park in addition to the timber maze, including the hedge maze, tractor tyre maze and Tayla’s Tangle rope maze.
Near the Burger Bar at the front of the park is a mini golf course and large garden chess game that is included in the entry fee.
Of course you can’t visit The Maze Home of Outback Splash without visiting the animals. You’ll find a wombat, koalas, emus and kangaroos here and you can purchase up close experiences with the koalas in addition to your entry also.
You can either take your own picnic lunch or BBQ along or enjoy a light lunch from the Burger Bar or the Snack Shack near the Outback Splash water slide playground and tower slide area during your day out at The Maze Home of Perth’s Outback Splash ( Note: you can bring alcohol, but you must be discreet and only consume in your picnic area). Near Splash Island there is also a parents room, first aid post, toilets & showers as well as lockers for hire so you can lock away your valuables.
We all absolutely love The Maze Home of Outback Splash – its a great place for families to enjoy play the day away together and we highly recommend getting there right on open time and setting up for the day as you can be sure the kids won’t want to leave at the end of the day.
