Pasta In The Valley Caversham is a little slice of Italy located in the Swan Valley, that is so much more than just an Italian Restaurant, with pasta made fresh on the premises right before your eyes, kids pasta making activity and a fantastic little shaded playground outside.
This is such a unique experience not just for the Swan Valley but for Perth. When you wander in the first thing you see is that the pasta processing facilities are located right within the restaurant. The pasta literally passes over your head! How exciting is that for the kids to watch (check out our video at the end of this review to see it in action).
While this is very much a Italian pasta restaurant, there is no shortage of Australian paraphernalia with kangaroo statues at the front and large images of iconic Australian landscapes throughout the restaurant inside and out.
Dining is located inside or at one of the two alfresco dining areas and there is lots of room between tables for prams and lots of different sized tables from tables for 2 up to large groups. The larger alfresco dining area at the back features a shaded playground and good sized artificial grassed area. Both the playground and dining areas at the rear of the restaurant are completely enclosed with fencing.
Towards the back of the rear alfresco dining area is a little section where kids can make their own pasta. These sessions are held daily between 9-11am, no bookings required, and are $7 which includes the 500g of spaghetti or fettuccine they make to take home.
Pasta in the Valley Caversham Swan Valley is open Tuesday – Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes a big range of Italian dishes as well as a separate breakfast menu, all day breakfast menu and kids meals too. Plenty of high chairs are available too.
Oh and of course it would be an Italian restaurant without gelato, so even if you don’t feel like a big meal, stop in for an ice-cream and check out the pasta making machine in action. Don’t forget you can also pop in to grab something to takeaway or you don’t even have to get out of the car with a drive thru available too.
A visit to Pasta in the Valley Caversham while you are in the Swan Valley is an absolute must, whether you grab something to take away while you check out the amazing pasta making machine, or dine in and enjoy the Swan Valley back drop while the kids play, you are guaranteed to be amazed.
