Pedal Play is Whiteman Parks own go kart hire, with go karts, trailers and passenger seats for hire so you can configure your hourly, half day or full day hire to your families needs.
Whiteman Park is free to enter and you can find Pedal Play just across the tram line from the Visitors Information Centre and the Whiteman Park Playground in Whiteman Village. You can’t miss the Pedal Play go karts all lined up out the front.
Your go kart hire can be configured to meet the needs of your family whether you have young children, teens or even the family dog joining in – Pedal Play can fit you out with individual or multiple seat go karts to get you and your family on their way to explore Whiteman Park by go kart. If you are visiting Whiteman Park with your dog, they are welcome in the park on a lead, and there is a fenced Dog Exercise Area at Mussell Pool where they can enjoy some off the lead time too.
As the name suggests all the go karts are pedal powered. This is a great way to explore Whiteman Park for the day or just have a ride arond the village for an hour. If you want to explore the park for the day, you may want to hire a small trailer to carry your bags, eski and other belongings. This way you can be free to go wherever you like with all the supplies you need. There is so much to do and explore at Whiteman Park even if you spent the whole day exploring you probably wouldn’t see it all. Some of Whiteman Parks key attractions include a range of museums, Children’s Forest, water playground (warmer months only), playgrounds, Village Cafe, Caversham Wildlife Park, Mussel Pool Dog Park and much more. A good network of walk and cycle paths re available throughout the Whiteman Park that are perfect for go karting.
The go karts are super easy and smooth to ride, your kids won’t want to give their go kart back. You may even like go karting with Pedal Play so much that you want to buy one. If so, make sure you talk to Pedal Play about buying a go kart. They sell a big range of the BERG go karts that are on hire at Whiteman Park.
Go kart hire starts from $20 for an hour for the buddy kart. The single junior karts are suitable for aged 2yrs+. The larger and two seater go karts are suitable for older children and adults and if you want to ride as a familly to explore Whiteman Park there is the 4 seater BERG Grannd Tour family go kart, that hires for $45 for one hour. All go karts have a one hour, half day or full day hire rate.
Even if you decide not to hire a go kart while you are at Whiteman Park, make sure you head up to the office to meet the Pedal Play family pink and grey galah Wally. He’s very affectionate and if you are brave enough you can have a pat.
Just a few things you should know about Pedal Play, they are open on weekends and a couple of days during the week during the school term. In the school holidays they are open everyday (except some public holidays). When temperatures are consistently over 36deg Pedal Play may close and these closures are posted on their facebook page , so always check here first or give them a call if you are unsure.
