Sports Themed Playground | Seating | WiFi & Charging Station | Trampolines | No Toilets | No BBQs
Pegasus Park (opened March 2018) is a sports themed park and is perfect for bigger kids who are too old for the traditional playground experience.
While there a few traditional play features, sports play definitely dominates this park. There isn’t much shade, other than the picnic shelters so it’s best visited in the cooler months, or early morning or late afternoon/evening in the warmer months.
A running race is pretty hard to resist with the three lane running track featuring at Pegasus Park, marked out with staggered starting positions and all.
Kids into their athletics will also love the hurdles track.
And the long jump too.
Bring a ball along and shoot some hoops on the netball and basketball court.
Bring along a cricket bat and ball and all your fielder friends for an awesome game of cricket. Some fielders are provided.
There’s plenty of grassed area to kick a ball too!
The playground features some play features too, with a few play features for little kids including this mound climb, two small slides and some swings.
Kids of all ages will love the in ground trampolines
Check out this hanging, climbing challenge for the bigger kids.
Unfortunately there are not toilets or BBQs at this park. There is a water fountain but it wasn’t yet connected at the time of this review. A couple of picnic tables are available around the playground area. This park would be perfect for a sports birthday party, it’s complete with a podium so you can conduct a ceremony to crown the winners.
Pegasus Park is the perfect play spot for kids who love their sports. Make sure you bring along their favourite sports ball and equipment and call you friends to get a team together and enjoy the full sporting play experience. The fantastic Slate Cafe is nearby if you want to grab a coffee or head out for somewhere to eat after your play. It’s located near the Swan Valley so it’s also a great stop to let the kids stretch their legs in between winery and brewery visits.
