Despite being along West Coast Drive many don’t realise this fenced playground and picnic area, that overlooks a stunning secluded bay perfect for swimming and snorkelling. A great spot for a sunset bbq or fish and chips by the sea too.
John Oldham Park Perth
Nestled alongside the Mitchell Freeway you may have driven past his park hundreds of times. You will be amazed at the super long slide and stunning waterfall at this shady, secluded park.
Pioneer Centennial Park Gosnells
Underneath the elevated treetop walk is this big playground covered by an incredible canopy of trees. You can also enjoy a short walk or ride/scooter through the bush and gardens to the lake up near the Civic Centre.
Subiaco Common
Park roadside then wander down the stairs to find this tranquil hideway, with beautiful playground, stepping stones across the creek and large lake to walk around.
Mrs Herberts Park Claremont
Not the fanciest playground but a stunning location hidden at the bottom of a big grassy hill at one of the most beautiful Swan River side locations with shady grassed area right up to the waters edge and clear, calm waters for swimming.
Rannoch Tay Reserve Hamersley
Completely hidden in the middle of suburbia behind a wall of bushland, this beautiful nature based playground is a local secret and is surrounded by stunning bushland you can walk through and learn about via educational plaques and fixed nature viewers.
