The Point Fraser Recreation Precinct in East Perth is the perfect place to play, explore and dine with a playground, bike hire and several cafe/restaurant/bar options.
The big shade structures over the playground areas remind me of mini versions of the Singapore Gardens By the Bay structures and provide lots of shade in combination with the natural shade over the playground area.
The playground definitely has an adventure feel with different levels to explore and challenging play features to enjoy.
Features include balancing obstacle course, rope climbing net, slide and swings (including a liberty swing).
Point Fraser Recreational Precinct is also popular for it’s dining options. There are a number of restaurants here as well as cafe and bar where you can drink and dine along the picturesque Swan River and within view of the kids playground.
Beaumonde on the Point is a function venue. The Point Bar and Grill is located up stairs is open daily from lunch and dinner. It has amazing river views, but is more of a grown ups place to dine.
Embargo on the Point is a bar located right in front of the playground area. It’s open Wednesday – Sunday for lunch and dinner.
Embargo On the Point as to be one the most family friendly bars we’ve come across with not only the playground right in front but a big kids indoor play area (called The Cabin) with a putting green, chalkboard wall, arcade games, ball pit and giant games the whole family can enjoy.

Soul on the Point is a cafe located near the playground with both indoor and outdoor dining. It’s open daily for breakfast and lunch and also dinner Friday – Sunday, so this is the perfect place to dine with the kids or to grab a coffee to enjoy a the playground.
8 On The Point is a Chinese restaurant and is open daily for lunch and dinner. You can also hire bikes from the Point Fraser Recreation Area at All About Bikes , so you can add a ride around the river to your adventure.
There are no BBQs at the Point Fraser Recreation Centre East Perth however there are toilets on the upper level on the restaurants building. There are stairs to this level as well as a lift for pram or disabled access. There is lots of parking here, it is paid and you can get the first hour free by getting a ticket from the machine.
On The Point is also your perfect place to relax and dine before heading to Optus Stadium for match day. Park then walk or ride from here or book on the ferry with Little Ferry Co. Find out more about Game Day here.
