Rendell Park Koondoola Features: Playground * Bike Track * Picnic Tables * No Toilets
Rendell Park Koondoola not only features a great playground but also includes a fantastic bike track, complete with road markings and signage to give kids an “on the road” bike ride experience without the risk of traffic.
It’s really good to see these bike tracks being incorporated into many of our new playgrounds. It provides a safe place for kids to ride or learn to ride and they can be used to teach kids about road rules in a fun and safe way.
The tracks wind around on the gentle slope above the playground area – with a gravel section at the top (complete with Gravel Road signage) for a bit of bmx action too.
The playground here isn’t huge but features all the things kids love like slides, mini flying fox, stepping stones, fireman’s pole, monkey bars, small spinning climbing frame and more.
A set of swings is located above the main playground.
A picnic table is located alongside the playground and there is seating right in the middle of the bike track so you can watch the kids go around and around. There are no toilets, water fountains or shade over the playground, however a lot of natives have been planted around the playground and bike track so we expect in years to come this will be a well naturally shaded playground.
It goes without saying that bringing along small bikes and scooters to your visit to Rendell Park Koondoola is a must. The park is bordered by the Koondoola Regional Bushland which features some lovely bush walks, so you might like to take in a nature walk after youtr play at the park. Parking at Rendell Park Koondoola is on the verge.
