Revolutions Museum Whiteman Park

Learn all about WA's land transport history at Revolutions Museum Whiteman Park

Revolutions Museum Whiteman Park Features: Entry by donation, open daily 10-4pm (except Christmas & Boxing Day). Free school holiday activities

When we arrived at the Revolutions Museum Whiteman Park we first enjoyed a short film, about 8 mins, on the history of transport in WA.  My 7yo boy enjoyed the film and recalled what he had seen in the film as we walked around the museum.

After the film we had a wander around the museum. It’s a bit of an eery feel as you walk into this old tram with some pretend meat hanging in the corner (above). There are some recorded sounds playing too which we later realised were from the cute little dog in the vent at the front of the tram (left)

You can sit in this old Holden and press the buttons to turn on the lights, change the gears, and turn the ignition to hear a recorded sound of the engine running! Or have your photo sitting on an old horse drawn cart like the one’s seen in the short film on transport history.

We thoroughly enjoyed the free school holiday activities too. The kids had to answer questions by looking for the answers around the museum and find the pieces of donkey tail also found around the museum to enter the competition to win some great prizes. My son also enjoyed making his donkey ears and tail which he wore the whole way home!

Revolutions Museum Whiteman Park is open daily 10am – 4pm (Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day) and is entry by donationl
